In the title polymeric complex, [Zn2(C6H2O4S)2(C4H9NO)2]n, each carboxylate group of the thiophene-2,5-dicarboxylate Ashtrays dianion bridges a pair of inversion-related dimethylacetamide-coordinated ZnII atoms, generating a layer motif parallel to (101).The ZnII atom shows a distorted square-pyramidal coordination; the apical site is occupied by Hockey Skates - Intermediate - Rec the O atom of the dimethylacetamide molecule, whereas the four basal sites are occupied by carboxylate O atoms.In the crystal, the dimethylacetamide molecule is disordered over two positions in a 0.72 (1):0.28 (1) ratio in respect of the C atoms.
